Pathway
Set up and keep compliant the U.S. companies foreign founders own.
19 hr 9 min · 3 courses · 0 live classes · 1 optional extra
Thousands of founders outside the United States open a U.S. LLC every year to sell on U.S. marketplaces, take payments through U.S. processors or sign U.S. clients. Most of them need help, and much of that help goes wrong after the company exists: the EIN application stalls, nobody files the annual Form 5472, and a $25,000 penalty notice arrives two years later.
This pathway trains you to run the whole engagement properly. You start with how the IRS classifies an entity owned by a non-resident and how to get an EIN when the owner has no SSN or ITIN. You then work through forming the LLC itself: choosing a state, the formation documents, registered agents, beneficial ownership reporting and the banking questions founders always ask. Finally you learn the annual reporting a foreign-owned single-member LLC owes the IRS, and how to prepare Form 5472 with its pro forma Form 1120.
Each course combines recorded lessons with reading notes and a live class where you work through real fact patterns with a practitioner. You finish able to scope, price and deliver a compliant formation-and-reporting service.
